Jay of Kaufman & Associates designed this production/mixing studio for composer Will Loconote. Builder Kevin Kociuba matched the studio to an existing structure (2BR/2Bath/Full Kitchen) in the Texas Hill Country just outside Austin. The new facility includes the control room, a live room, and a machine room as well as a photography studio and reception area. Custom audio absorption and bass trapping, as well as Diffusers from RPG are featured. Loconto’s equipment includes a Mac Pro, running Logic Pro X, Pro Tools HDX, Avid MADI I/O, Antelope Audio Orion32, preamps and outboard gear from Neve, Millenia, and Rupert Neve Designs. Monitors are Genelec 1238A SAMs, Dynaudio BM15s, and Avantone MixCubes.
